Michael Borash is a licensed professional counselor, holding an MS and LPC, who approaches therapy from a relational perspective. He understands that emotional wounds often develop in relationships, and believes that healing occurs most effectively within connection with others. Michael emphasizes that the quality of life is deeply intertwined with the quality of relationships in a person's life. He recognizes that the defensive adaptations individuals adopt to survive difficult family experiences can hinder their ability to cultivate warm, intimate, and trusting relationships in adulthood. Through marital, group, and family therapy, Michael strives to create a safe environment where clients can soften these defenses. At the Center for Relationship Training and Recovery, he provides clients with an increasingly secure setting to explore, grow, and heal alongside others. Michael practices Imago Relationship Therapy with couples and incorporates relational theory as a fundamental aspect of his work, including addiction treatment.
