At the Good News Community Kitchen in Springfield, VA, our Emergency Meal Units program is dedicated to supporting families facing food insecurity by providing essential food assistance to alleviate hunger. Each emergency meal unit is thoughtfully designed to meet basic nutritional needs and includes a one-pound bag of rice, two cans of beans for seven servings, and a pound of whole grain old-fashioned oats. If you or your loved ones find yourselves in urgent need of emergency food, we encourage you to fill out our online form to request a meal unit. After registration, families will receive bi-weekly meal kits to ensure ongoing support, and we kindly ask for a valid state-issued identification card to be submitted via email for verification. We're here to help you through difficult times with care and compassion.
