Bethany Lackey is a Licensed Professional Counselor and PhD, dedicated to helping individuals navigate through life's challenges. With a wealth of experience in addressing trauma and PTSD, anxiety, and life transitions, she understands that feeling stuck is a part of life, but it doesn’t have to be faced alone. Bethany's approach is rooted in compassion, cultural sensitivity, and an unwavering commitment to inclusivity, making her a supportive ally for women and members of the LGBTQ+ community. She earned her master’s degree and Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Virginia Tech, where her research focused on refugee experiences. Additionally, she teaches and supervises counselors-in-training, enriching her understanding of trauma-informed, safe, and inclusive counseling practices. Bethany believes in the resilience and strength each person possesses, and she is eager to walk beside clients through their journeys towards healing. Her diverse repertoire of therapy types, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered approaches, reflects her integrative style tailored to meet the unique needs of her clients.
