Kathryn Garnett is a strengths-based psychotherapist and clinical social worker who brings a wealth of experience to her practice. As a mother of three wonderful adult children, she embodies the belief in the realm of possibilities, having returned to graduate school later in life. She holds a deep respect for the individual strengths that each client brings to therapy and has faith in the power of relationships to foster growth and change. Kathryn's sensitivity to the needs of both young children and mature adults is a unique gift that inspires hope and healing. Recently completing a mindfulness and psychotherapy course, she is an advocate for the benefits of mindfulness in managing depression and anxiety. She believes in treating the whole person—body and mind. With a background that spans home, community, group home, hospital, and outpatient therapy settings, Kathryn enjoys working with clients of all ages and diverse challenges, although her current clientele primarily consists of adults. Furthermore, she has completed training in EMDR for trauma and obtained skills in yoga for therapists. Currently, she is expanding her expertise to become a mindfulness educator. Kathryn is open to providing individualized interventions, such as therapeutic walk and talk sessions in the community, available for both individuals and groups.
