Margaret Anne Dawson, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), embodies the belief that everyone is worthy and deserving of wellness. She is dedicated to helping clients focus on their strengths as they navigate their mental health challenges. With a specialization in treating depression, trauma, and PTSD, as well as addiction concerns, Margaret works with a diverse clientele facing mental health symptoms, substance use disorders (SUDs), and co-occurring conditions. Her extensive background in trauma-informed care enables her to address both the acute and long-term effects of trauma, including posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Margaret earned her master's and completed her doctoral coursework at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she concentrated on supporting survivors of childhood trauma, sexual abuse, and those grappling with substance use issues. Beyond individual therapy, Margaret enhances learning opportunities for populations affected by trauma in their professional lives.
