Jane Bernstein is a dedicated clinical social worker and therapist, holding a Bachelor and Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. With clinical licensure in social work since 1995, she has amassed extensive experience working with children and adults with disabilities in both in-patient and outpatient settings. Jane has also held significant roles in early intervention as a social worker and administrator. As a Certified Trauma Specialist with a certificate in Intensive Cognitive Behavior Therapy from John Ludgate, Ph.D., her background is reinforced with specialized training. Jane has facilitated parent groups for families with children who have disabilities, provided support for postpartum depression, and offered counseling and education for parents grappling with addiction issues. Her work spans helping children of all ages in schools dealing with trauma histories, behavioral challenges, and learning disabilities. Jane’s therapeutic approach is strengths-based and skill-building, employing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Currently, she specializes in supporting adolescents and adults facing challenges like depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, anger, grief, and relationship issues.
