Located in Madison Heights, Virginia, New Prospect Baptist Church operates a compassionate food bank dedicated to supporting the nutritional needs of residents in Amherst County. This vital program offers emergency food assistance to ensure that individuals and families can access essential nourishment. Our food bank operates twice a week, welcoming visitors on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. To benefit from our services, registration is required, along with proof of residency and income documentation for all household members, unless you receive Medicaid, SSI, or TANF. We invite those facing food insecurity to reach out to us or connect with Amherst County Social Services and Blue Ridge Area Food Bank for support. We are here to help, and we encourage reapplication twice a year to stay connected with our community's needs.
