Kara Michelle Karr is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health. Having worked part-time at James Madison University's Counseling Center, she has developed a deep passion for counseling and its transformative power in enhancing lives. Now that her youngest daughter is in high school, Kara is eager to expand her private practice while continuing her work at JMU. She welcomes clients of all ages—teenagers, adults, and elders—and is committed to supporting those seeking personal growth or coping strategies for life's challenges. With extensive experience in both individual and couples counseling, she addresses a wide range of issues, including relationship conflicts, anxiety, mood disorders, LGBTQIQAP+ concerns, sexual assault, and grief.
