Meals On Wheels in Farmville, VA, is committed to nourishing the community by providing hot meals to elderly, disabled, and homebound adults who may struggle with shopping or cooking for themselves. With the support of dedicated sponsors and volunteers, we deliver balanced, nutritious meals every weekday directly to clients' homes. Our meal fees are income-based, ensuring that many receive their meals at little to no cost. Each meal includes a hot entrée, starch, and vegetable, accompanied by a cold bag with milk or juice, bread or crackers, and dessert or fruit. We deliver Monday through Friday, between 11:15 AM and 1:00 PM, adjusting to individual needs for both short and long-term service. While we do not deliver on major holidays, we offer an extra meal prior to these days to ensure our clients are well-fed.
