Dr. Angela Huebner is a dedicated Marriage and Family Therapist with a PhD and LMFT certification, whose therapeutic approach is both collaborative and experiential. Believing in the client's innate ability to heal, she focuses on meeting individuals where they are in a non-pathologizing manner. Dr. Huebner is a certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist and has completed advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), all of which are empirically validated treatment methods for adults and couples. Her extensive training also includes mindfulness practice and interpersonal neurobiology, which enrich her clinical practice. Dr. Huebner provides therapy to a diverse clientele facing marital and relationship issues, life transitions, mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, anger management, trauma including PTSD, as well as parenting and family conflicts. Additionally, she offers consultation services to business co-founders dealing with communication challenges and company growth. As a Clinical Fellow of the AAMFT and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, Dr. Huebner has also made significant contributions to academic settings, having served as an associate professor in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Virginia Tech in Falls Church, VA for 17 years before establishing her full-time private practice.
