Morgan Soper Hickman, LCSW, is a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in supporting adolescents (ages 16+) and adults facing challenges with depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and the difficulties associated with medical problems. With a strong belief in the potential for change and healing in everyone, Morgan adopts a strengths-based and systems approach to therapy, emphasizing cognitive-behavioral and solutions-focused interventions. For clients with OCD, she utilizes Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) as her primary treatment method. Morgan aims to foster a therapeutic relationship that builds trust, enabling clients to pursue their personal goals. Recognizing the challenges of finding the right therapist, she strives to help individuals overcome barriers and attain genuine fulfillment and contentment in their lives. Morgan holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Pepperdine University and a Master’s degree in social work from Abilene Christian University. Her diverse experience includes work in schools, counseling centers, and within the UVA health system. Outside of her practice, Morgan enjoys walking her dog, Maggie, exploring the great outdoors, and discovering new restaurants in the community.
