Woods Cross, UT US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Woods Cross, UT, is dedicated to fostering advocates for an equitable food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers comprehensive organic food system education, ensuring accessibility by charging no tuition for participants. Over a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in hands-on training that empowers them to cultivate diversified crops, run educational initiatives on innovative health care, and enhance food and ecological literacy in schools. Furthermore, Fellows learn to support farmers markets and community food coalitions, create distribution channels for healthy food access, and mentor future cohorts. After this enriching residency, Fellows complete a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge with regional non-profits to make a lasting impact in the local food landscape. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship operating from May through October.
