Tooele, UT US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Tooele, UT, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. We offer an immersive six-month training program at the Allegheny Farm, where selected Fellows receive comprehensive education in organic food systems, empowering them to engage with their communities and implement impactful projects. Our program fosters partnerships for growing and distributing diverse crops, establishing community gardens, and integrating food and ecological literacy into educational settings. We do not charge tuition to ensure accessibility, and our Fellows are also encouraged to mentor future cohorts while actively contributing to local food initiatives and farmers markets. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the Fellowship experience taking place from May to October, allowing participants to make a meaningful impact through hands-on learning and community engagement.
