David Purbaugh, LCSW, MSW, is a compassionate clinical social worker and therapist who understands that there isn't a cookie-cutter approach to therapy. With over 9 years of professional experience in the mental health field, David appreciates the uniqueness of each individual and their stories. He views every client through a strength-based lens, focusing on their strengths, experiences, and successes to shape therapy that is tailored to their specific needs and goals. David collaborates with clients to help them lead more fulfilling and rewarding lives, employing a variety of therapy types including mindfulness-based techniques, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and person-centered approaches. He has worked with both adolescents and adults in various settings such as inpatient behavioral health, juvenile justice services, and outpatient therapy. Originally from Southern California, David moved to Utah in 2011. He enjoys tinkering with technology and is dedicated to continual learning, all while currently developing the ultimate smart home. David shares his life with his wife, a nurse, and their beloved Parti Yorkie named Max.
