Katie Flanagan, PsyD, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at the Utah Center for Evidence Based Treatment (UCEBT) with extensive experience in assessing and treating clients of all ages, including preteens, teens, adults, couples, and families. Her passion lies in assisting individuals who cope with their emotions through excessive self-control, often characterized as 'Type A,' perfectionistic, guarded, and difficult to read. While society tends to value self-control and delayed gratification, Katie recognizes that an overabundance of these traits can harm personal connections and overall well-being. Through her specialization in Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT), she teaches valuable skills to foster openness, connectivity, and flexibility, paving the way for healthier, long-term relationships with oneself and others. Katie is an officially trained RO-DBT practitioner and has received formal training in other evidence-based treatments, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Gottman Couples Therapy. She stays up-to-date on the latest research to tailor her therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
