Alison Watts is a compassionate Mental Health Counselor known for her ability to create a safe and approachable environment for her clients. She has faced her own challenges and understands the vulnerability and uncertainty that often accompany seeking help. Over the years, Alison has had the privilege of working with individuals facing difficult circumstances, guiding them toward transforming their experiences into lives filled with purpose. She possesses extensive experience working with teens, families, and women in crisis, and has also supported individuals coping with schizophrenia and related disorders, which deepened her understanding of mental health complexities. Alison specialized in addiction and obtained certification in Addiction Counseling from the University of Utah during her time at the VOA detox center. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Counseling/Mental Health Counseling. One of her most fulfilling experiences has been her work with women in the Utah State Prison system, where she taught essential life skills to those often affected by untreated post-traumatic stress.
