Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI)
Panguitch, UT US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Panguitch, UT, offers a transformative opportunity for aspiring advocates and educators in sustainable food systems. This initiative promotes a socially, environmentally, and economically just food network, empowering Fellows through comprehensive organic food system education without any tuition fees, ensuring that accessibility is at the heart of our mission. Over a six-month immersive experience, selected Fellows will engage in hands-on learning at our vibrant farm campus, while also participating in a dedicated Community Action Year where they apply their insights and training in collaboration with local non-profits. The Fellowship encourages the cultivation and distribution of diverse crops, the implementation of innovative health education, and the nurturing of community gardens, all while fostering food and ecological literacy within local schools. By supporting farmers markets and establishing effective distribution channels, we strive to increase access to healthy foods across our community and work alongside coalitions to build a resilient food system for all.
