The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Mona, UT, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders who advocate for a fair and sustainable food system. Through comprehensive training and hands-on experiences at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, our Fellows gain invaluable skills in organic food systems, community gardening, and food literacy. We believe in making education accessible, which is why we offer this transformative program at no cost. Participants engage in meaningful projects such as growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health care educational sessions, and supporting local farmers markets. After a six-month immersive fellowship, they enter a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge with regional non-profits to strengthen community food access and promote ecological stewardship. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October, ensuring our Fellows leave a lasting impact on their communities.
