Herriman, UT US
Herriman, UT US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Herriman, UT, nurtures passionate individuals by providing them with comprehensive training and empowering them to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program sponsors selected Fellows to engage in hands-on, organic food system education at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, all without charging tuition to ensure accessibility. Over six months, participants immerse themselves in practical learning experiences on a market-style farm, oversee community gardens, and implement innovative health education sessions. As advocates, they also support farmers markets, develop distribution channels for healthy foods, and mentor the next generation of leaders in the food justice movement. Following their fellowship, participants enter a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their skills and knowledge. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October, inviting individuals to help shape a healthier, more equitable food landscape.
