This transformative program offers hands-on organic food system education, enabling fellows to engage with community partners in various impactful projects. Participants gain invaluable experience by growing and distributing diverse crops on a market-style farm, leading health-focused educational sessions, maintaining community gardens, and promoting food and ecological literacy in schools. The Fellowship is designed to ensure accessibility, as no tuition is charged for the program. Selected fellows will immerse themselves in a six-month experiential training at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they take action with regional non-profits to enhance local food systems. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience taking place from May to October.
