The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Beaver, UT, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and equitable food system. Our program sponsors and trains passionate individuals to become educators and leaders who champion social, environmental, and economic justice within food systems. Through our hands-on, experiential six-month fellowship at Allegheny Farm, participants engage in organic food system education, cultivate diversified crops, and support vital community initiatives such as farmers markets, school gardens, and health-focused educational sessions. The Fellowship is designed to ensure accessibility, offering tuition-free training while empowering Fellows to implement innovative solutions and foster food and ecological literacy in their communities. Following their immersive residency, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge within regional non-profits. Applications are open until March each year, with experiences occurring from May to October.
