Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in Wylie, TX, is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and young children who are at risk for nutrition-related issues. Our mission is to empower families through essential education on proper nutrition, offering individualized nutrition counseling and engaging classes designed for both mothers and their children. WIC provides essential breastfeeding support, including guidance for nursing mothers and free breast pumps, to foster healthy feeding practices. Each month, eligible participants receive benefits to purchase nutritious foods, including iron-fortified infant formula, cereals, juice, dairy products, and beans, which ensure that every child has the best start in life. Additionally, WIC connects clients with crucial health and social services. To qualify for WIC services, applicants must meet specific income guidelines, nutritional risk assessments, and reside in Texas. We invite families who meet these criteria to apply in person at our local clinic, and we welcome all caregivers to join us in supporting the nutrition of our youngest community members.
