The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in Weslaco, TX, is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of vulnerable populations, including pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and children up to five years old. Our mission is to provide education and resources that promote optimal nutrition, empowering families to make informed choices. Through individualized nutrition counseling and engaging classes, we educate clients about essential dietary practices tailored for their needs. WIC also offers valuable breastfeeding support, including guidance and access to free breast pumps, ensuring mothers receive the help they need to successfully nourish their babies. Participants benefit from monthly provisions of nutritious foods, including iron-fortified infant formula, milk, eggs, and more to support healthy development. By partnering with local health and social services, we strive to connect families with additional resources for their wellness. To qualify, families must meet specific income guidelines and reside in Texas. We warmly invite eligible families to visit our clinic for an in-person application, where our team is ready to assist you on your journey towards better health for you and your children.
