Meals on Wheels North Central Texas is dedicated to bridging the gap of food insecurity for seniors and homebound or disabled adults in Waxahachie and surrounding areas. Covering over 3,401 square miles across Johnson, Ellis, Navarro, Somervell, and Hood counties, we deliver more than 1,000 nutritious meals each day to those in need. With nearly half of our clients living alone, we serve as a crucial lifeline, providing not only essential nutrition but also vital social interaction, helping combat loneliness while promoting mental well-being. Our comprehensive services include regular wellness checks, nutritional education, family support, and AniMeals for clients’ pets, ensuring holistic care for both our clients and their furry companions. We empower our participants to maintain independence through quality nutrition and companionship; the process to become a client is straightforward and welcoming, involving a brief telephone questionnaire. While we do not charge for meals, voluntary contributions are appreciated to sustain our services and outreach.
