Shelley Muller

Licensed Professional Counselor, MA

The Woodlands, TX US
Shelley Muller, MA, LPC, is a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor who believes that within each individual lies the power and strength to overcome life’s challenges. As a clinician, she is committed to fostering a non-judgmental and positive environment that encourages clients to access their innate capabilities. By helping individuals identify and examine the thoughts and perceptions influencing their actions, Shelley facilitates meaningful, affirming change. She is particularly passionate about supporting clients through self-examination and the re-building process, transforming what once seemed insurmountable into manageable steps. Throughout her career, she has recognized that mental health challenges often stem from long-held thoughts that no longer serve a positive purpose. With a BA in Journalism/Sociology from the University of Oregon, a law degree from the University of Houston Law Center, and an MA in psychology from the University of Houston Victoria, Shelley’s diverse background includes years of practice as an attorney. Her transition to counseling was driven by her passion for therapy, a shift that has brought her immeasurable satisfaction as she guides clients through their individual journeys towards healing and growth. Through an eclectic mix of therapy types, including trauma-focused approaches, solution-focused brief therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques, she adeptly addresses issues such as addiction, marital and premarital challenges, and depression for adults and elders alike.
