Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in The Colony, TX is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of pregnant women, new mothers, and children up to five years old who are at nutritional risk. Through personalized nutrition education and support, WIC empowers families with essential knowledge about proper dietary practices for infants and young children. Our program offers valuable services, including one-on-one nutrition counseling, breastfeeding support with access to complimentary breast pumps, and monthly benefits for purchasing nutritious foods such as iron-fortified infant formula, fruits, vegetables, and dairy products. Eligible clients include pregnant women, new mothers, and caregivers of young children from low-income households, ensuring that even those with jobs or private insurance can seek our assistance. To access our resources and support, applicants must visit our clinic in person, where they can receive a health screening and learn about available services.
