MOVE! Weight Management Program

Located in Texarkana, TX, the MOVE! Weight Management Program is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through effective weight management and health promotion strategies. Our mission focuses on annually screening all Veterans receiving care at VA facilities for obesity and providing tailored referrals to various weight management services that cater to individual needs and preferences. Our comprehensive approach includes supportive group sessions, convenient telephone lifestyle coaching, and the innovative TeleMOVE! program, which enables in-home messaging and clinician support. For those who prefer a self-managed approach, we offer the MOVE! Coach mobile app. Additionally, we provide access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery options for Veterans who face ongoing challenges with weight management.
