Kate Stark

Kate Stark, PhD, is a dedicated licensed psychologist who provides counseling and evaluations with a compassionate, solution-oriented, and strengths-based approach. She is committed to creating genuine and authentic spaces for her clients, ensuring they feel supported throughout their therapeutic journey. Utilizing evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and solution-focused techniques, Kate addresses a wide range of concerns, including anxiety (phobias, social anxiety, panic attacks, and generalized anxiety), depression, autism, ADHD, family dynamics, trauma, and other issues impacting children through young adults. Her emphasis on a systems approach encompasses not just the individual but also their family, peer relationships, and educational environments. Kate obtained her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University and her PhD from The University of Texas at Austin. Her professional experience includes a predoctoral internship at Lewisville Independent School District and a postdoctoral fellowship at Children’s Hospital Colorado. With a diverse background encompassing work in schools, community mental health, and private practice, as well as instruction at Texas Christian University (TCU), Kate possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise in her field.
