Nutrition Education

In San Marcos, TX, our Nutrition Education program is dedicated to empowering individuals and families through comprehensive, free nutrition education classes. Led by licensed nutrition educators, these engaging classes, lasting one to one and a half hours, focus on essential topics such as basic nutrition, culinary skills, chronic disease prevention, healthy meal planning on a budget, and food safety, catering to participants of all ages. Classes are offered in both Spanish and English, specifically designed for SNAP recipients and eligible families. To join, simply check the schedule with the Food Bank and register through the hosting agency. For social service organizations interested in hosting, we welcome requests for in-person or virtual classes as long as we have a minimum of 10 participants. We are here to foster healthier lifestyles and make nutrition accessible to everyone in our community.
