Peggy Bissing Lpc

Peggy Bissing is a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) with a rich background in assisting adult and teen survivors of trauma. With extensive experience in public school settings, she has worked closely with special needs children and at-risk youth. Peggy also brings significant expertise from her time in the criminal justice system, where she supported first responders, crime victims, and individuals in recovery from addiction. Her therapeutic services include post-adoption support for foster children and tailored guidance for veterans and those seeking outpatient treatment for substance use. Peggy is passionate about empowering both adults and children to lead fulfilling and productive lives. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Master’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, specializing in psychotherapy. She is certified in EMDR and trained in Brainspotting, among other therapies. Peggy adopts a variety of treatment modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma-Focused therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), ensuring ethical and effective treatment irrespective of race, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation.
