Dan Reed is a body-centered psychotherapist dedicated to helping individuals and couples achieve meaningful change. Specializing in diverse populations, including adults, teens, men, women, and those undergoing transitions, he prioritizes the creation of a safe and nurturing environment. Rather than merely discussing challenges or offering superficial coping strategies, Dan encourages clients to slow down and explore their whole current experience. Together, they observe thoughts, images, feelings, sensations, and movements as they arise, fostering curiosity and insight into self-discovery. Through this process, clients develop new relationships with themselves and the underlying patterns that influence their lives. Clarity, choice, and courage emerge as individuals reconnect with their true selves. Life's constraints may feel confining, but Dan believes that hope and healing are attainable through embodied exploration in counseling. By embracing feelings of being 'stuck,' clients unlock their potential to enact change in relationships, create space amidst anxiety, find movement within depression, recognize worth beyond shame, derive meaning through grief, foster choice in the face of addiction, and reclaim life after trauma. Dan holds a PhD in counselor education and supervision, with a focus on supervision informed by the internal family systems (IFS) model of psychotherapy, body-centered psychotherapy, and neurofeedback. He also serves as an assistant trainer for the IFS Institute and is board certified in neurofeedback.
