Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP)

The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in San Antonio, TX, is dedicated to empowering individuals and families with limited income through essential classes on nutrition and food safety. Our hands-on lessons cover crucial topics such as basic nutrition, budget-friendly shopping, simple food preparation, and food safety, all designed to enhance physical health in the community. We promote the importance of increased physical activity, utilizing research-based materials available in both English and Spanish. By fostering group learning, we aim to create an engaging environment for at least 10 participants, helping them build skills for healthier lifestyles across Nueces, Bexar, Cameron, Dallas, El Paso, Harris, Hidalgo, Tarrant, Travis, Webb, and Willacy counties.
