Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in Rowlett, TX is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of infants, young children, and women who are pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding and at risk for nutrition-related illnesses. Participants receive invaluable breastfeeding support, including expert guidance, encouragement, and in some cases, complimentary breast pumps to facilitate this important bonding experience. Each month, WIC provides benefits that can be used to purchase a variety of nutritious foods such as iron-fortified infant formula, fresh fruits and vegetables, milk, and more, tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. Additionally, WIC connects families to essential health and social services, ensuring comprehensive care. Eligibility extends to pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as parents and guardians of children under the age of 5, with income qualifications based on the federal poverty guidelines.
