Ladon Matthys

Ladon Matthys is a Licensed Professional Counselor (MA, LPC) dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities and their support systems through life’s challenges. She understands that navigating both large and small barriers can often feel overwhelming, and she is passionate about helping her clients create the meaningful lives they envision. With nearly thirty years of experience working with young people facing difficulties in school and transitioning to adult life, Ladon has cultivated a deep commitment to lifelong learning and growth in her practice. Her diverse background includes roles as a teacher, campus leader in Texas and Oregon school districts, and work in a private psychiatric hospital, as well as in a state-supported residential facility. Additionally, she has provided essential services through Texas Workforce Solutions Vocational Rehabilitation Services. Ladon employs a person-centered approach, dedicated to collaborating with her clients to identify their goals and facilitating their journey towards achieving them. Adapting therapeutic techniques from various modalities—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Strength-Based methods—Ladon tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.
