Farmers Assisting Returning Military (F.A.R.M.)

Farmers Assisting Returning Military (F.A.R.M.) is dedicated to supporting veterans in Rockwall, TX, by providing a nurturing environment where they can cultivate crops and reconnect with their purpose after service. Founded by two Iraq War veterans, F.A.R.M. understands the challenges of reintegration, offering veterans an opportunity to work side-by-side, fostering camaraderie while tending to the land, animals, and farm infrastructure. Our programs are designed for veterans facing issues such as suicidal thoughts, homelessness, or chemical dependency, and we facilitate peer-to-peer training that empowers them to take on the role of farmers. While our internship applications are currently closed as we expand our facilities, we encourage all veterans to reach out to stay informed about upcoming opportunities. Our Future Farmer Trainees may benefit from stipends and shared housing options, alongside a comprehensive mentorship program. Completion of our training provides valuable farm experience and opens pathways to full-time positions, certifications, and essential resources for sustainable agricultural careers. We believe every veteran deserves the chance to heal and thrive, and we’re here to support that journey.
