Basic Needs - Family Assistance Program

Located in Richmond, TX, the Basic Needs - Family Assistance Program, operated by Catholic Charities, is dedicated to providing essential support to individuals and families in need. Our mission focuses on addressing urgent barriers to accessing basic necessities, including emergency food, clothing, housing, and health care. By ensuring that these fundamental rights are met, we empower clients to strive for self-sufficiency and build the future they desire. Our services include health screenings, nutrition education, information and referral support, case management, and assistance with applying for mainstream benefits like SNAP. We also offer limited financial aid and advocacy to connect families with vital community resources. Join us during our Saturday food fairs, held twice a month, where all are welcome, and no identification is required to receive food assistance.
