Lori Sikes

Lori Sikes is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LCSW) with over 20 years of counseling experience. She has a deep commitment to helping adults and elders navigate diverse and complex issues, including grief, trauma and PTSD, and anxiety. Lori graduated in 1995 and attended the University of Texas at Arlington, equipping her with the knowledge and skills needed to address the needs of her clients effectively. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, viewing her role as a guide who offers new perspectives and skills from an objective and accepting standpoint. In times of stress, it can be challenging to recognize the strengths and resources that can aid us during a crisis. Through a strong therapeutic alliance, Lori empowers clients to identify and utilize these strengths. When faced with conflict or major life changes, individuals often experience feelings of imbalance and loss of control. Lori believes that these transitional periods, while painful and confusing, can motivate individuals to reclaim responsibility for their lives and restore a sense of balance. With her accepting guidance, exploring the process of change, and learning new thinking and relationship skills, clients can move towards creating the fulfilling life they desire.
