Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in Orange, TX, is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of pregnant and postpartum women, breastfeeding mothers, and young children who face nutritional challenges. Our comprehensive program focuses on nutrition education tailored to families, offering individual counseling and engaging classes designed for parents and children alike. We provide essential breastfeeding support, including guidance and access to free breast pumps, empowering mothers with knowledge on the benefits of breastfeeding and practical skills to manage their journey while working. Each month, WIC clients receive benefits to purchase a variety of nutritious foods, such as iron-fortified infant formula, cereals, juice, milk, and more, aiding in the healthy development of their children. We also connect families with vital health and social services to ensure comprehensive support. WIC is available to pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers with infants under one year, as well as parents and guardians of children up to age five, all while adhering to income guidelines to maintain accessibility for those in need. To begin the application process, interested participants are encouraged to visit our local clinic in person.
