Madison Short, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and registered play therapist (RPT), understands that the challenges faced in 2020 impacted many individuals and families. Madison recognizes that both significant traumas, such as abuse or near-death experiences, and smaller traumas, like feelings of rejection, can leave people feeling stuck. Specializing in trauma resolution, Madison employs Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) techniques, which harness the brain's natural processes to help clients remember past experiences without having to relive them. Additionally, she utilizes play therapy with children, enabling them to express themselves without the reliance on verbal communication.
