The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in Mission, TX, is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and young children who face nutritional risks. Our mission revolves around empowering families with essential knowledge about proper nutrition through personalized counseling and engaging nutrition education classes. WIC also offers invaluable breastfeeding support, including resources and guidance for mothers to confidently provide the best start for their babies, along with free breast pumps when needed. Participants benefit from monthly provisions of nutritious foods such as iron-fortified infant formula, fresh produce, milk, and more. We serve eligible families by referring them to additional health and social services, ensuring they receive comprehensive support. To qualify, families must meet specific income guidelines and reside in Texas, and we welcome inquiries from all who seek our assistance. Participation in WIC helps create healthier futures for families in our community.
