Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in Mesquite, TX, is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of infants, children, and women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or recently postpartum. Our mission centers on providing essential education about proper nutrition to at-risk families, helping them make informed dietary choices that foster better health outcomes. Through WIC, participants gain access to personalized nutrition counseling, engaging classes tailored for all family members, and vital breastfeeding support, including free breast pumps for nursing mothers. Each month, we also supply nutritious food benefits that can be used at local grocery stores to purchase items such as iron-fortified infant formula, milk, eggs, and fresh fruits and vegetables. Moreover, WIC connects families to a network of health and social services to further ensure their well-being. To qualify for our program, individuals must meet specific income guidelines and reside in Texas, and we encourage in-person applications by appointment. Together, we work to support families in building healthier futures.
