Leslie Wood

Leslie Wood is a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience in the behavioral health field, specializing in children and adolescents. Her diverse background encompasses various treatment settings, including residential, acute/inpatient care, intensive outpatient/partial hospitalization, and outpatient therapy. Leslie has a profound understanding of grief and bereavement therapy, guiding children, adolescents, and families through the complexities of loss. Utilizing a strengths-based and individualized approach, she emphasizes the uniqueness of each client, providing support that meets them where they are in their journey.

With expertise in diverse therapeutic modalities, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy, Leslie adapts her methods to fit the needs of her clients. She creatively integrates play, art, and sand tray techniques to engage students effectively. Currently, Leslie is training her therapy puppy, Maisie, to provide comfort and companionship to clients during sessions.

As a single mother to three daughters, including two teenagers, Leslie finds joy in outdoor activities, staying active, and volunteering. Her enduring passion for helping others drives her professional journey, making the opportunity to support families through their unique paths truly rewarding.
