The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in McKinney, TX, is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of pregnant women, new mothers, and young children who are at risk of nutrition-related issues. Our mission focuses on empowering families with essential nutrition education, offering personalized counseling, and providing informative classes, including sessions designed specifically for children. We are committed to supporting breastfeeding mothers by offering guidance and access to breast pumps at no cost when needed. Each month, WIC clients receive benefits that can be used to acquire nutritious foods like iron-fortified infant formula, fresh fruits and vegetables, milk, eggs, and more, ensuring that families have access to the foods that nourish their little ones. Additionally, WIC connects participants with vital health and social services, reinforcing our commitment to holistic wellness. We invite expectant mothers, new parents, and guardians of children under five to apply, regardless of employment status or private insurance.
