Farmers Assisting Returning Military (F.A.R.M.) in McKinney, TX, is dedicated to helping veterans transition into civilian life through agricultural training and peer support. Founded by two Iraq War veterans, our organization believes that working the land fosters healing and camaraderie among those who have served. We offer a nurturing environment where veterans can cultivate crops, care for animals, and connect with fellow servicemembers while finding a renewed sense of purpose. Our Future Farmer Internship program provides veterans with the skills they need to thrive in agriculture, including stipends and mentorship, while workforce opportunities at our farms or partnering farms ensure they gain valuable hands-on experience. While we cannot assist with detox services, we offer guidance for veterans seeking treatment for chemical dependency through VA resources. Each participant who completes our program earns a certificate applicable towards farming loans, along with essential business resources to support their journey in agriculture. We welcome any veteran interested in our programs, regardless of discharge status, and encourage you to reach out for more information as we continue to develop our facilities.
