Farmers Assisting Returning Military (F.A.R.M.) in Keller, TX, is dedicated to empowering veterans through agriculture, inspired by the personal experiences of our founders, Iraq War veterans who found healing and camaraderie through farming. We invite veterans dealing with challenges such as suicidal thoughts, homelessness, and chemical dependency to join us in cultivating crops and nurturing livestock, as they discover new purpose and connection within a supportive community. Our peer-to-peer training equips participants with the skills necessary to thrive as farmers, and we offer an agricultural internship program that includes financial stipends, mentorship, and opportunities for employment on our farms or partner farms. While our current internship enrollment is temporarily closed, we encourage veterans to reach out for updates and to engage in our various programs and services. With a focus on reintegration, F.A.R.M. helps veterans navigate treatment for dependency issues through partnerships with the VA and other resources, creating a pathway toward recovery and growth. Participants earn valuable farming experience and receive essential resources, including a certificate of completion, which aids in securing farming loans, as well as comprehensive guides to successful farm management. All veterans are welcome to participate in events and workdays, regardless of their discharge status, as we believe in fostering an inclusive environment for all who served.
