Cathy Swan

Cathy Swan is a dedicated Clinical Social Worker and Therapist, holding an LCSW credential and graduating from the UH Graduate College of Social Work in 2004. She believes in the natural capacity of individuals to grow and adapt, recognizing that while challenges in life can often be unexpected, they do not have to prevent healing. Cathy is committed to creating and maintaining a safe and open environment for her clients to explore their paths of healing. She specializes in fostering connection, understanding that many individuals yearn for meaningful relationships, but these can sometimes feel daunting. Cathy empowers her clients by practicing and teaching effective communication, promoting authentic expressions of emotions and thoughts. With over 25 years of experience, she has guided individuals through issues such as grief, depression, bipolar disorders, anxiety, and various relationship challenges. Her background as a hospice social worker, where she provided companionship to the dying and support to the bereaved, underscores her deep compassion and understanding. Cathy warmly welcomes clients from all walks of life, including the LGBTQ+ community, diverse races, and first responders, affirming her belief that everyone deserves a safe space to heal.
