Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in Irving, TX, is dedicated to promoting health and nutrition for pregnant women, new mothers, and their young children at risk of nutrition-related illnesses. Our mission centers on empowering families through comprehensive nutrition education, providing individual counseling, and offering engaging classes tailored for mothers and children, while encouraging involvement from fathers as well. WIC supports breastfeeding through guidance and access to breast pumps at no cost, helping mothers understand the importance of breastfeeding for their baby's health. In addition, our program supplies monthly benefits for nutritious foods, including iron-fortified infant formula, cereals, fresh fruits, vegetables, and more, ensuring families have access to a balanced diet. We are committed to connecting clients with essential health and social services, fostering a supportive community for those eligible—pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and parents of children under five.
