Senior Box Program

The Senior Box Program in Humble, TX, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to low-income seniors aged 60 and older through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) administered by the USDA and managed by the Texas Department of Agriculture. Serving over 11,000 seniors in the Houston area, this vital initiative offers free meal boxes filled with nutritious options aimed at supporting the health and well-being of our community's elderly population. To enroll, seniors can visit Bethel's Heavenly Hands and inquire about signing up for Senior Box Day, where we make the process as straightforward as possible by only requiring information on age, income, and residency—no proof is necessary. While we strive to accommodate all eligible applicants, those applying may be placed on a waiting list should we exceed our monthly capacity. Income guidelines include an additional $5,902 for each extra household member, ensuring that more seniors can receive the support they need.
