Lauren Saporito, a dedicated Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT, LPC, CDWF), serves as the lead therapist at Houston Therapy for Girls. With extensive experience in working with girls and young women aged 7 to 25, she strives to cultivate an accepting environment where they can achieve self-acceptance and develop essential skills to navigate life's most challenging years. With ten years of post-Master’s experience, including four years as a counselor at an all-girls private school, Lauren understands the unique pressures and challenges that young women face in today’s world. Her focus on empowering girls and young women has equipped her with specialized skills to facilitate growth and meaningful change in her clients' lives. With a commitment to highlighting and leveraging her clients' strengths and past successes, Lauren ensures they feel safe and supported as they confront their current challenges. As a Certified Daring Way Facilitator, she guides groups centered around the research of Dr. Brené Brown, incorporating shame-resilience strategies into individual sessions as well. Additionally, Lauren provides support to parents by employing a combination of Emotion Focused Family Therapy and Positive Discipline, creating holistic therapeutic experiences for families.
