Meals on Wheels Program

Meals on Wheels Program in Houston, TX, is dedicated to serving seniors and homebound neighbors by delivering hot, nutritious meals directly to their doors. Operated by Northwest Assistance Ministries, this vital food assistance initiative aims to support the health and independence of those unable to prepare meals for themselves due to illness or disability. With the help of over 500 dedicated volunteers, the program provides thousands of well-balanced meals six days a week, along with monthly grocery deliveries to low-income seniors through the Food for Seniors Project. Each meal delivery not only nourishes participants but also encourages social connection, as volunteers take the time to check in on clients' well-being, helping to foster a sense of community. Beyond meals, our case managers are devoted to addressing additional needs, ensuring our clients receive the supportive services necessary for a healthier, more independent life.
